Why Emotional Health Matters
Health and wellness is about much more than diet and exercise.
Emotional health plays a huge role in how we feel within ourselves and how we show up in the world.
In fact, emotions like anxiety, stress, fear and loneliness, can all contribute significantly to our ability to resist illness and even chronic disease.
If you’re serious about living a long, healthy life, mastering your emotions should be a critical part of the plan.
That means, learning how to improve your emotional health so that negative energy can be released from within you, is extra important.
The best part of focusing on your emotional health, is that a good diet, self love and a willingness to exercise tend to follow as you feel better about yourself.
For example, when you find it in your heart to let go of resentment and anger, you are then free to love other people more fully and will experience greater harmony in all of your relationships, which in turn fuels you to take better care of yourself.
This is the basic formula necessary for healing ourselves on an individual level and for healing our world on a global level. Also, by opening your eyes to the impact of foods on how you feel and the role that whole foods and all of their colours that mother earth provides, should be a key foundation when it comes to emotional energy.
Here's why emotional health matters and how it can truly impact your overall health and wellbeing:
1. Illness Directly Tied to Emotional Health
While you might think all illness and disease are caused by diet, exercise, lifestyle, and genetics, you would be wrong.
The causative factors of illness are not strictly dietary problems, or otherwise. Instead they relate directly to the mental and emotional life we live as well.
Our thoughts and feelings are powerful, dynamic forces that influence every aspect of our lives and are a major causative factor in either the health or disease of our body and mind.
Therefore, it’s of the utmost importance to improve our emotional health in order to ensure our physical health. The steps to improving emotional health aren’t always easy, as they involve undoing ingrained habits, thoughts and behaviours that we’ve built up over a lifetime. 2. Our Feelings and Thoughts are What We Become
How we feel and think about ourselves is what we become. Where your thoughts go, your actions go. Where your actions go, your life follows.
Whether we realise it or not, our conscious and unconscious attitudes, or belief systems, and feelings, or emotions, powerfully affect the cells, tissues and organs of our physical bodies, as do the conditions we experience in the world around us.
Making a conscious decision to alter our thoughts and control our feelings can have a powerful influence on the outcome of our lives, our physical health, and our longevity.
Those who insist on blaming the world around them for their circumstances are doomed to stay in those circumstances, while those who actively force their thoughts to shift will soon see their actions shift, and as a result, their circumstances.
3. Pay Attention to Your Body
Your body is constantly trying to communicate with you, and if you pay attention, it will tell you what it needs—and what it doesn’t need. Pain, injury, or illness are indicators and warning that we are out of harmony with life and have an issue in need of recognition and attention. They can be telling us to cut out animal products, to slow down and rid ourselves of stress, to cut out alcohol, to do a gut cleanse (find steps to do it right, here), or many other things.
The areas or parts of the body affected can serve as an indicator as to the nature of the particular issue.
Unresolved anger, irritations, resentment, fear, guilt and lack of forgiveness are the sources of most illnesses and must be released. These conditions are highly poisonous to the human system and will almost always end up causing illness and disease.
The first and most important step in healing any problem is to become aware of and acknowledge that there is an existing problem.
Once we recognise and learn to release the attitudes that inhibit our expression of being conscious, we then remove the root causes of our disease. In this way, symptoms will fade away and we will establish permanent healing.

4. The Healing Powers of Touch and Fasting
When you’re ill, your first instinct might be to turn to medicine for relief, but oftentimes these are more toxic than anything else.
Luckily, there is no medicine, supplement, ointment or potion that compares to the power of the following healing methods: changing your thoughts, consuming whole foods, loving touch, and fasting.
When you use touching and fasting, you can start to allow true, lasting healing to occur. By consciously choosing touch and fasting, we can free ourselves of the blockages commonly referred to as pain and disease and allow for healing to actually take place, instead of the stopgaps that the healthcare system provides.
Fasting allows our bodies to purge toxins that have built up, give our digestive system a much-needed rest, and allow for clarity and focus to come into our lives.
Loving touch helps to soothe our emotions and internal turmoil, while providing our bodies with endorphins and relaxation. By combining both, you’re allowing your body to open up to deep, lifelong healing and health.

It has been demonstrated millions of times and for thousands of years that whole food diets, colonics, mono diets and fasting restore disturbances in metabolism, the immune system, respiratory function and mental outlook.
Why Emotional Health Matters: Combat Toxins
Increasing levels of pollutants, chemicals and food additives encountered by anyone living in an industrialised society can create a toxic overload in the body which can lead to more than 95 percent of all human diseases.
The important thing to re-discover is that whole foods are at the foundation of impulse and its regulation.
Again, impulse leads to emotion and emotion is sent at the speed of light throughout our entire central nervous system. The nerves attach to our entire bodily architecture. The nerve messages lead to cellular nourishment if the emotion is a healthy positive virtue or to cellular chaos if the emotional signal is a negative toxic, potentially deadly one.
Whole foods carry the biochemicals needed to release negative molecular residues and strengthen positive construction.
Eating a whole foods diet will help your body restore emotional health, so you can live your healthiest life. While fasting, touch, and thought patterns can help corral your emotional health, the electrical frequencies of energy that whole foods provide, are the very base of every cellular interaction in your body, including your emotions and how you show up in the world.
