1. Self Care Helps You Help Others

Self Care is inherently unselfish because it gives you the time and space to reset and re-energise, so that you can actually give more of yourself.

You can’t give what you don’t have, so giving yourself permission to put your Self Care first, sets you up to be the best person you can be for others.

Without Self Care, you’re more likely to burnout and be ineffective, both in terms of your own potential and in terms of helping those who are important to you.

Whether it be in your business, career or family life, ultimately you end up short changing everyone involved. Experiment with intermittent fasting by shortening your 'eating window' to 8-10 hours within every 24 hour period for at least 4 days a week, to give your digestive system time to reset regularly.  Additionally, consider fasting for a few days or a doing a colon cleanse with every change of seasons, which was an ancient 'house cleaning' wisdom.

On the movement front, as a minimum, take a brisk walk outdoors each day for at least 30 minutes, in the morning if you can.  Step things up by choosing additional types of low impact exercises that resonate with you 3-4 times per week e.g. Cycling, Swimming, Yoga, Pilates, Resistance or Circuit Training.
