Arthritis & Joint Pain: How to heal & alleviate the pain

Arthritis is one of the most common dis-eases of our time.

Arthritis is the inflammation of one or more joints in the skeletal system, which usually manifests itself as swelling or redness of the overlying skin, movement pain or restriction of motion.

Just like any dis-ease, you can either choose to treat "the symptom" by suppressing the inflammation with medication, OR you can take a more proactive approach by dealing with "the cause".

As with virtually any dis-ease, for anyone who is ready to go down the "Fastest" path of healing, Arthritis responds remarkably to extended "fasting" because your body diverts it's available energy purely to pure restoration rather than the constant processing of food.

Of course, fasting is an extreme measure and is not for everyone, so I also want to share with you some exercises I recommend and plant foods designed by mother nature as "Skeletal Strengthening" foods.

But first...

How do we 'get' arthritis?

Arthritis can be caused by high impact exercise over a long period of time, ageing, injury or under-use of the joints i.e. a "couch potato" type lifestyle.

Also, research points to food reactions and imbalances caused by environmental toxins as sources of all types of arthritis.

Highly acid causing foods like meats tend to also provoke arthritis over time and distance.

What you can do to alleviate arthritis?

There are a number of steps you can take to turn arthritis around and restore joint mobility and function, including:

Fasting Water, Juice or Pulse Raw Food

Fasting 21 days on water or raw pressed fruit and vegetable juices is the ultimate, but if that is not a possibility for you, I would recommend going for 14 or 28 Days on nothing but Pulse and water.

Strengthening and Motion Exercises

Each of your joints should expand to its full range of motion on a daily basis.

Daily activities like housework, climbing stairs, basic lifting and bending do not put your joints through their full range of motion.

That's why if you want to maintain great posture and healthy joints in your golden years, it's critical to spend 10-15 minutes each day stretching (best to do after your daily walk or cycle), or doing some form of light strengthening exercise like yoga, swimming or pilates.

These types of activities will add years of mobility to your life!

Heat and Cold

To relieve pain and inflammation in and around your joints, apply cold or heat packs

Heat helps to relax aching muscles. Cold can numb the area to reduce pain.

If you're looking for some wonderful plant essential oils to help, try pure Pure Helichrysum Oil or my Golden ReLeaf applied topically to reduce swelling and for the relief of pain.

Whole Foods

A plant-based diet loaded with fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains can help eliminate arthritis as well as soothe some of the symptoms.

Feast on:

Beans, Lentils, Legumes, Bok Choy, Celery, Rhubarb, Silver Beet, Corn, Pumpkin Seeds, Sesame Seeds, Sunflower Seeds. Think soups 'n salads galore!

And TWO more foods that are a true godsend for eliminating pain and inflammation from the body are Cherries and nature-made Salt.

It's also critical that you avoid processed sugar, flour, processed white grains and commercial grade table salt. All of these can contribute to allergic reactions that aggravate arthritis. And animal fat can lead to autoimmune reactions and gout.

You can find more on Arthritis and other skeletal conditions and foods that heal in my eFDR.

One step closer to having healthy joints and mobility

If you are living in pain there are so many steps you can take to dramatically reduce and even eliminate this discomfort, without resorting to surgeries and toxic medicines.

I hope that some of the tips in this article will help you on the path
