What is wholefood?
Whole foods are plant foods from nature’s table that are unrefined or have been processed minimally.
They are mainly include:

Cultures have thrived on whole foods for the entire history of the human experience.
So why is it in the last century, that these foods have been progressively been attacked for not being enough to nourish and sustain the populations of the world?

One thing is for sure and certain. If mass society practiced such a diet, it would all but wipe out the meat and dairy industry and much of the business of "health-care" as well.

Let's define the word, "Nutrition" in consideration of some historical wisdom and origins.
The prefix "nut", comes of the Latin "nux", meaning “seed” or “beginning point”.
Nut originally referred to the “point of light” or “life.” They were, at one time, synonymous. Nutrition is the process of getting “life” or “light” into ones body; literally, to “nurse” or to “suckle,” upon light.
There are seven known ways of taking in light and eating plants is one of them.
Plants synthesise light and water in order to make and sustain themselves. When we chew the plants in our mouths it is called making the bolus, a Latin word meaning “round mass” or “lump of earth.”
Metabolise comes of “meta” meaning, “after change” and bolus to, “throw a lump” some call this process, digestion.
Di meaning, “break apart” and “gestion” means to carry. This process is how whole foods become recognisable by the cells as light or photo-electrochemical messages, the only thing, (by law), “the law of light,” that they understand and can use.
To nourish, to sustain, to enliven, was the gift of whole foods that come of water and light; all we have to do is to enjoy metabolising them. They deliver their gifts of, “light messages” to the cells in this way.
Whole foods to the ancient mind were sacred messengers, each carrying unique, “words of wisdom” into the inner kingdom, the sanctuary of the mystery of life.
Plant whole foods are filled with light and water. They contain electric energy.
Put plant whole foods to a test. Use them as, “nourishing offerings” to your body and see if the result over a short period of time is greater life, energy, and light within yourself.
Why A Whole Food Diet?
A whole food plant-based diet involves eating foods from natural sources and avoiding anything that is artificial or excessively processed.
Despite popular belief, eating only whole foods CAN provide your body with all the nutrients, vitamins and minerals that it needs for optimal health!
Each whole food actually contains all the nutrients your body needs, just to varying degrees, so your focus should not be on specific vitamins and minerals, but instead on variety as well as eating the plant whole foods which are in season wherever you live. Nutrient density is a measure of the number of nutrients a food contains in comparison to the number of calories. A food is more nutrient dense when the level of nutrients is high in relationship to the number of calories the food contains.
By eating whole foods, you'll get all the essential nutrients that you need for excellent health, including vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, essential fatty acids, fibre and more for the least number of calories.
Additionally, when you eat natural organic foods in their most natural, unadulterated state your body receives the maximum amount of enzymes and nutrients and in a form that your body naturally recognises and can most readily absorb and assimilate.
You see, “nutritional experts” are those who learn more and more about less and less. We’ve gone so deep into the forest of nutritional chemistry we have forgotten it’s made of trees, whole food. If you get your nutrition from whole foods, you don’t have to think about it.

Most people can easily get fresh produce from their local farmer’s market.
As an added bonus of getting them from the area where you live, you can also be sure of the source, cultivation methods and confident that they’re organically-grown. Many cities now also have organic food delivery services that bring them straight to your door.
The next best option is the organic section of your local grocer or supermarket, where you can normally find a variety of fruits and vegetables.
If you’re lucky enough to have a backyard you can also grow your own. And if you live in a city apartment, many herbs and leafy greens grow just fine on a window sill or in pots on a balcony!
5. Whole Foods Are Affordable
Whole foods that are not only familiar and available but also affordable, especially if you purchase them locally and in season are the best.
This is also the time when they are the freshest and of the best quality.
Although they may not last as long when stored, eating them as soon as possible will provide much more “nutritional value” for your money.
Often you’ll also avoid the extra costs associated with transport and unnecessary packaging that supermarkets pass on.
